Description: Porsgrund collectors plate featuring a troll with a cow's tail smoking a pipe. Trolls with tails first appeared in the 1867 poem 'Peer Gynt' by Henrik Ibsen. The famous artist, Theodor Kittelsen, drew his trolls with a cow's tail inspired by the poem. I wasn't able to verify that this art was done by him however. This measures approximately 7" across. The back is marked "Porsgrund Norway". It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few scratches to the transfer. Please see our photos as they are part of the description. This will come carefully packed and with free shipping! Questions?
