Description: This star shaped Agate slab was so pretty that my father decided to mount it in a wooden box to which he attached a wide battery light. The light failed, so we removed it. The tape has remained on the sides of the box. However, the stone is amazing when a light is added to the back. Dad used a wide light with multiple bulbs which was a good idea as the single light I put in the box didn't show off all of the beauty in the Agate. The polished piece and the box weighs about 231 grams and measures roughly 111 X 97 X 94 mm. I know that the box will need work to remove the tape, but the stone is worth displaying. With his PhD in mineralogy, my father loved to collect rocks. He took great pride in his mineral collection which he carefully organized by chemical groups. Since he recently passed away I'm tasked with finding his treasures a new home. I still have loads of rocks and rough material to re-home so I'll be posting more of my father's rock collections (rough material, cut stones, pendants, mineral specimens, and other rock related items) off and on for months so do make my store one of your favorites and check in often to see what new items are listed.
