Shot in Ohio, includes Dayton, Ohio, local police, and the Ohio Highway Patrol. Release Date: 1965 Entered the Public Domain: 1984 Film 6: Shotgun Or Sidearm (1970) COLOR Runtime 14 minutes Interesting Sid Davis production for police explaining, no, don't take your shotgun when taking down suspects, use a sidearm! But based on the narrator's tone, this film is just a formality. Most of the end credits are missing. Release Date: 1970 Entered the Public Domain: 1999 Film 7: Tear Gas in Law Enforcement (1962) COLOR Runtime 26 Minutes Contains dramatized footage of striking workers and civil disturbances; shots of San Quentin Prison; sequences of police tear gas training sessions. Release Date: 1962 Entered the Public Domain: 1991 Film 8: Felony Vehicle Stop (1970) COLOR Runtime 11 minutes Fun police training film about how to stop a bunch of bank robbers. Interesting that they show the wrong way to do it first, with the cop getting blown away by a shot gun (but falling face first to the ground?) making the robbers seem bloodthirsty, but when we see the "right" way to do it, the robbers pretty much give up then and there and behave most professionally. Release Date: 1970 Entered the Public Domain: 1999 Film 9: Forcible Entry - Excuse And Trickery (1960) COLOR Runtime 20 minutesThe Video on this film is very soft but it is still watchable. Strange late 60s film about when and how police officers can use force to enter, kicking down the door etc. The methods used and justified hardly sound like they could be used today.
