Poulton was active in London, Lincoln, Chatsworth and Ely, England from the 1850s to the 1890s. His early works are usually identified by S. Poulton or Poulton’s Series, later credits read S. Poulton & Son. William Darrah sites Poulton twice in his book The World of Sterographs on his series of plant views from the Conservatories in Chatsworth c1860s. Send questions.
