Description: PODMORE & WALKER "MANILLA" FLOW BLUE CUP & SAUCER We are offering a cup & saucer in the "Manilla" pattern by Podmore & Walker. The cup measures approximately 4" in diameter by 2 3/4" tall & the saucer measures approximately 5 3/4" in diameter. Together they weigh approximately 10 oz. The cup holds approximately 8 oz of liquid. They are in the Manilla pattern with oriental scenes in a Flow Blue style. The back stamp on the bottom of the saucer indicates they were manufactured at some time between 1834 to 1859. The cup & saucer are in fair condition for their possible age. There is stained crazing on the saucer & a crack with a chip on the cup.There are more chips on the foot of the cup & slight nicks on the top rim. There are utensil scratches on the front of the saucer & interior of the cup and kiln marks on the front of the saucer. We double box all fragile items to help withstand the stress of transport. The double boxing adds to the shipping weight and postal expense but we believe the added precaution in packing is a worthwhile investment to ensure safe arrival of your item.
