Plate from 1930 Publication Jean Emile Laboureur Poacher and Dachsund Woodcut

Description: Plate from a 1930 printed publication of woodcuts (with commentary by Malcolm Salaman), this is a plate of a woodcut by Jean Emile Laboureur (French 1877-1943) titled "Le Braconnier" (The Poacher), depciting a hunter with his traditional dachsund hunting dog. This is presented in a new, black wood frame. The plate title is preserved to the back. Image within mount aperture 14.5 x 14.5 cm, wooden frame 23 x 23 cm (perspex front, not glass). Hanging hook verso (we can add cord and frame-side hangers if you prefer before it is packed, let us know at point of purchase). This would make a super quirky little addition, once framed, to a varied wall display of art, gallery style. The artist was painter and printmaker, specifically for her animal works, after completing her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Apologies for the reflection in some of the photos.
