Description: This resin statue is the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe which is a Catholic title of Mary which is associated with 4 apparitions to a Mexican peasant named Juan Diego which occurred in 1531. A much venerated image of Mary appeared on Juan Diego's cloak. This statue is a similar rendition of this image that is still being venerated in Mexico City and the whole Catholic world. This is a very lovely and colorful version of this image and note the beautiful and sweet face of the Virgin. She stands just over 10" tall from the bottom of the base and is 4" wide and about 3 1/2" deep.
