Description: This jersey was given to me by a neighbor of mine, Joe Scibelli who was an offensive lineman for the LA Rams number 71 when I was a teenager 70's -80's. I do not know who made it other than the tags pictured. He most likely got it from a trainer or a equipment manager. He came rolloing up in his big caddy threw it at me and called me a trader! He got me into the locker room whenever the Steelers or the Raiders came to the Los Angeles collosseum to meet the players. (He hated this) The material of this jersey is Durene, it's not perforated yet you can see through it but it does not strech. All numbers are heavy duty and sewn Lamberts name is sewn onto a placard which is sewn on the jersey. The sleeve stripes are actually the fabric of the jersey, not sewn on.The only tags are the one on the front (lower left) stating "Designed and tailored exclusivly for the Pittsburgh Steelers" with small 56 tag and the MFG tag on the side hem inside the jersey stating made in Berlin, Wisconsin. Which is where Sand knit was.No collar tag. Most likely it was a team issued and probably got it from the equipment manager. Lambert wore a 3/4 sleeve jersey. However there were short sleeved jerseys available for him This was told to me by a well respected sports memorabilia establishment in Newport Beach, California. It is not game worn however it was most likely team issued. Joe passed many years ago, so I obviously can't ask him. If you need more pics or info, message me. I hate to get rid of it but someone should enjoy it. It's quite a conversation piece. I'm 61 years old and I've had this since I was a teenager. I've worn it probably 5 times in 45 years. I can't find anything to compare. It threw a few sports memorabilia professionals for a loop. I even spoke to a Steelers represenative. She said I could send it back to them and they could possibly authenticate it. Never did it. Didn't want to take the chance of it getting lost in the mail. That was ten years ago. There was a price increase due to several sports memorablia companies contacted me and told me everything looks correct after I sent them detailed pictures. They all stated it was worth at least 1k to 1.5k minimum and could possibly worth a hell of a lot more. I literally can't find anything like it on the internet. If it doesn't sell it won't kill me to keep it and enjoy it at superbowl parties.
