Pioneer RT-909 Vintage Reel-to-Reel Tape Deck + New Rollers + Manual (very nice)

Description: This Pioneer RT-909 (serial number ZG3602077) is in fantastic cosmetic condition. The front panel and controls look terrific with just a few small scratches and a nick on the upper/left corner. The black cover has one small ding on the side (see pictures), but that's really the only issue that is permanent. There's an old "property of" sticker on the back from the previous owners, but that can be removed with the right solvent and elbow grease. It's also missing one screw that holds the cover in place, but again, you can find a replacement online. When we received the deck, we instantly noticed that it needed new pinch rollers. We ordered those from Oak Tree Vintage and installed those along with a new belt, and the deck is now playing great. Aside from this, everything looks to be original. All controls seem to work as they should. Please note that while we get a good amount of stereo gear in our shop, we're not experts on reel-to-reels. As with any piece of vintage stereo equipment, it would likely benefit from being "gone through" by a qualified tech who specializes in reel-to-reels as there may be some other small issues that we missed. It's not shown in the pictures, but the original user manual is included in the sale! I apologize if shipping seems steep, but this is obviously a heavy piece of equipment that requires plenty of packaging material. The good news is that our foam-in-place packaging system is perfect for this type of equipment and can assure you that it'll reach you in fine shape!
