A big touchscreen experience is not so far out of reach, thanks to the very clever Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX digital multimedia receiver, which consists of a 1" thick display and a separate "black box." The 6.8" resistive touchscreen offers lots of customizable color options, while the separate, compact chassis contains all the electronics and entertainment, including Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, Bluetooth®, and an HD Radio® tuner. Pioneer includes a 12" cable to connect the screen and chassis, but extension cables are available so you can mount the chassis in a more convenient spot. Metra will make special dash kits available soon for installation in challenging vehicles, but until then, you can also install the screen and black box together in a standard double-DIN opening.
