Description: Pioneer CT-F505 Cassette deck _ further service required This deck's transport has a mechanical problem. Play: eats tapes & rewind does not work. The plastic idler tire gear shown with the RED arrow is not cracked (usually the problem with these Pioneer's) Most likely an issue with the clutch attached behind this gear or the original idler tires themselves need replaced. Too many projects to investigate this one further. Unit was entirely recapped with Audio grade capacitors including the Dolby boards. Electronics side works as it should (when the deck is put in play you hear the tape play as it should but the trasport "eats" the tape- i.e. the take up reel does not take up the slack) This deck would be excellent for someone with a working transport to swap out or someone looking for a project. Very clean conditions inside. Exterior has some signs of use. Metal cover was lightly sprayed with black paint. Sold as is as pictured with no returns. Please do not place a bid if you do not agree.
