Description: 1937 edition of "Prime Jeunesse Suive de Un Jeune Officier Pauvre", or loosely translated, Youth Bonus followed by a Poor Young Officer, by Pierre Loti. is said to be semi autobiographical.He dedicated it to his sister who left this world 21 Sept, 1908. has 13 full page illustrations, and smaller ones scattered throughout, all on what looks like good quality cotton rag paper.all are by the artist Andre Edouard Marty, 4/16/1886 to Aug.1974.book appears complete, has age related toning. it came from my grandfather Edwin Georgi's library from his art studio in Norwalk, Ct. in 1964. weighs in at 2 1/4 lbs., measures 9" by 7" by 1 1/2" thick. illustration sizes run about 6 1/2" by 4 1/4". please see photos. thanks for looking and good luck.
