Description: From John Stanley Antique Tools This listing is for an early hand forged, short handled logging pickaroon. Measures only 10 3/4" long overall. The head measures 6 3/8" long. As shown in the photos, the light weight hand forged head is made with "wrap around" construction. Due to being forge welded only near the end it has started to separate causing it to be loose on the handle. The handle had two cracks which we glued and clamped. This is being sold as a decorator item only and is not intended to be used. A previous owner painted the head a silver color and the handle green which gives this a great look.
