Description: EXTRA INFOPHOTO WRECKAGE OF SABRES XD707 AND XD730 ON THE 22ND JULY 1954 TWO AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH AND CRASHED INTO KINDER SCOUT IN THE PEAK DISTRICT.THEY WERE ON AN INTERCEPTION EXERCISE CALLED DIVIDEND DURING THE COURSE OF THIS EXERCISE SIX AIRCRAFT WERE LOST.WRECKAGE COVERS BOTH THE TOP OF KINDER SCOUT AND BLACK ASHOP MOOR 500 FEET BELOW AND SPANS AN AREA OVER A HALF MILE IN DISTANCE. BOTH THE PILOTS FROM 66 SQUADRON FLYING OUT OF RAF LINTON-ON-OUSE WERE KILLED.
