Description: C. Late 19th century Lewis Straus and Sons of Limoges, France dresser tray (can also be hung on the wall for decoration!) is artist signed Clara M. Graves, 1894 with a written inscription on the back in French, loosely translated to “the politeness of yesteryear ”. An extremely detailed scene of an 18th century Frenchman approaching a woman whilst traveling in her sedan chair with a beautiful chateau and floral background! This also features an incredible gilded scalloped edging and details! Please zoom in to see all the details this special piece has to offer!! There is one very small imperfection. I’m not sure if it is simply a mistake during the firing process or if it’s a small chip (see last photo). Either way, it is small and covered in the lovely gilt. In otherwise excellent condition! Measurements: 16 1/2” wide, 9 1/4” tall, 3” deep
