It was a full body design and proved to be a little awkward. Characters were then designed with just the head, and Santa was redone for 1958. Santa was redone again in 1965, and color was added to his face. The design changed again for 1970 and became one of the most popular issues (known as Santa C). Feet were added in 1987. In 1990, the 4.9 stem was introduced. In 1997, a neon Santa came out. In 1999, Santa was redone again, this time getting eyes and a slightly longer nose (Santa D). The Winter Stars Series began in 2002 and features another redesigned Santa, this time with spectacles (Santa E). The Winter Stars Set includes Santa, an Elf, a Reindeer, a redesigned Snowman, and a Polar Bear in a Santa Hat. Santa had a 2 piece face and was on a Slovenia stem. In 2005 Slovenia switched to a full crystal head Santa as the two piece face variety was issued on 4.9 Hungary stems. In 2006 snowflakes were added to some of the 4.9 Hungary stems. At the same time, a one piece face Santa was issued with a China stem. In 2007, Hungary switched to 5.9 stems for the two piece face Santa. Snowflakes continued to appear on a small percentage of the 5.9 Hungary stems. In 2008, the China stem Santa switched to a crystal head with a solid red hat. In 2009 there were two crystal variations: red hat and crystal hat. Also in 2009, the polar bear was redesigned and ceased looking like the Icee Bear and more like the Coca-Cola Bear. The 2009 Winter Bear was issued on a 5.9 China stem using the older Snowflake cards. In 2010, there were both Snowflake stems and plain stems on the newer holiday package cards. In 2012, Santa "F" was introduced in both regular on Red Stem and Crystal on Green stem. In 2013, a more cartoonish Penguin dressed in blue and Snowman appeared. An Elf dressed in Green in similar style was added in 2014. In 2016, an Elf dressed in Red and a Penguin Dressed in Green were introduced. In 2017, a Snow Globe on Red Stem was issued along with mini PEZ of Santa, Elf, and Angel (these were meant to be ornaments and came in round clear plastic cases resembling Christmas Tree Ornaments). In 2018, the Elf was done up using both Red and Green (combining the previous two years). The Snow Globe was re-issued but this time on a Green Stem. Joining the Elf, is a new lovable Reindeer, standard size Angel (matching the mini from 2017), and a Christmas Tree.
