Description: PEZ Boy and PEZ Girl Series Choose a Character and condition (Loose or Mint in Bag) from the Pull Down Menu PEZ has issued their own character designs soon after the dispensers hit the American market in 1952. In 1970 the PEZ Pal series began with PEZ Boy and PEZ girl in a variety of costumes. In 1975, they were Bride and Groom. Just after the 4.9 patent came out in late 1990, many characters were redone and reissued. A new plain PEZ Boy and PEZ girl were issued in Yugoslavia in late 1990 leading into Valentine's Day 1991. The initial Pez Boy and Girl were issued on 3.9 thin feet stems, but quickly changed to 4.9 thick feet stems. Yugoslavia changed it's name to Slovenia in 1993, which helps to date some of the stems. In 1994, a design change took away the extra holes on the side of the head used for various costumes in previous editions. In 1996, special editions came out with a variety of hair colors and costumes (full body costumes) - Alpine Boy, Shell Gas Boy, and Pilot Boy. Aral Gas Boy and Mariner Boy were added in 1998 along with GITD versions of Shell Gas Boy. BP Gas Boy came along in 1999. Many of the Boys that came on white stems have a yellowing of the stem because of the plastic used to wrap them.
