Description: Up for sale is a copy of "Peveril Of The Peak" by Sir Walter Scott. Volume I ONLY. Published in 1828 by Samuel H. Parker, Boston. Overall the book is in Poor Condition. The boards have heavy wear, stains and scuffing. Both boards are loose (only barely still connected) and you can see the internal webbing from inside of the book. The spine is heavily stained, fraying and torn. The corners are split, bumped and fraying. Internally, there is wear, foxing and browning to the pages. There is heavy writing inside the front board and front end pages by a previous owner. The first few pages have tears in them and are detached from the book. There are some stains and chips and creases on some of the pages, as well as some scratches and writing. Irregularly cut paper. Other dings here and there.
