Description: I discovered this CD that has a wide selection of Petula Clark's various album tracks, B-sides and rarities. Some very fascinating tracks here for a serious fan. Released in 2000 by Sanctuary Records Group, (Castle Music & Sequel). CD, booklet and jewel case are in excellent condition. These songs were written or co-written by Petula Clark. Most people don't know she also wrote many songs for either album tracks or single B-sides. "You're The One" was a #4 hit for The Vogues in 1965 and written by Clark and Tony Hatch. Petula's version is included here as well as on her "I Know A Place" album from 1965. However, once Warner Bros. became aware of The Vogues hit they then wanted to release Petula's version in the U.S. Being who she is she is quoted as saying, "Let the boys have the hit". Either way as a co-writer she still made a few coins on that one. See photo for track listing.
