Description: Attractive vintage doll from Singer Crafts, this is Betsy Ross ( generally regarded as the seamstress of the first American flag). Betsy was issued as part of the " Historic Costume Collection " of " Our American Heritage ". She stands about seven or seven and a half inches tall, and is holding the first Stars and Stripes. There is also a small booklet with the doll entitled "About The Doll" she is still in the original package, although the cellophane which was wrapped around the cardboard package is long gone. She would certainly make a nice addition to any patriotic vignette. Doll made in Hong Kong, costume made in USA, printed and packaged in USA by Singer Crafts of Patterson, New Jersey. Condition: the doll is in very nice condition, the flag she is holding has a few loose threads on the end as seen in photos. The box lacks the cellophane which would have originally been wrapped around it, and does have a few bumps here and there, but overall, personally, I would not hesitate to give this as a gift. Recommended for children five and up
