Description: Offered is the antique book "Partners of Providence", written by Charles D. Stewart and published in New York by the Century Co. in March, 1907. The book is a first edition and has over 100 black and white illustrations, some of them full-page. The book is approx. 7 3/4" x 5 1/2" and contains 538 pages. It is in very good condition. The red embossed hard cover has little wear, the gold letters on the front still bright. The corners are very slightly worn and bent. The spine has a very short (less than 1/4" long) tear at the top and is slightly discolored, with the gold letters not quite as bright as on the front. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-connected to the binding. Most of the pages are clean and free of spottiness, although from the title page through page 3 and from about page 520 through the end some spottiness is present, as well as on a few pages in between. I see no writing in the book other than a gift inscription in pencil inside the front cover dated January 12, 1911. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
