Description: This 1987 remastered stereo LP by EMI His Master's Voice (ED 29 1274 1) features performances of four separate works by Hubert Parry. The album is part of HMV Greensleeve's English Heritage Series. In order, the works are Symphony No.5, Blest Pair of Sirens, Symphonic Variations, and Elegy for Brahms. They are performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult and Frederic Jackson respectively. The album notes are in English, written by Michael Pope. The outer sleeve shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2). Also included are two photocopied pages of reviews of the various performances from the May 1967, November 1979, and November 1987 editions of The Gramophone. This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of classical LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
