Parra began his career drawing flyers and posters for music venues, later employing his eccentric, hand-drawn approach to illustration and design in fine art works. Recent works such as Holding a Stick (2012) and Game (2012) depict curvaceous nudes with Parra’s signature bird-like heads engaged in provocative situations and rendered in bold, saturated blues and reds. Parra’s images have been compared to those of Keith Haring and Victor Moscoso. The artwork is stored in a smoke free environment with regulated temperature and humidity.
