Description: We have on offer a Parker model 17 fountain pen in blue with gold filled trim (GT). Included is a box and set of instructions. The box is in lovely condition. In addtion to the 17, the instructions are also for the Duofold, 51, and Jotter models. The set covers fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and pencils. There is a squiggle on the sheet. Please see the pictures. Issued by Parker in England. The sheet is not torn or ripped. The pen is finished in blue with a 14 k hooded nib and gold filled trim. The nib is off centre to the hood. This model c. 1964 to 1967. It has a colour matching tassie and the the cap is a press fit. The cap is unmarked. The barrel has the ellipse logo, sometimes noted as the ‘halo’ logo, and is marked: ‘PARER “17” / MADE IN ENGLAND’. The fill is the fixed Parker Aerometric system. It is marked: ‘PARKER / TO FILL, PRESS RIBBED / AT LEAST FIVE TIMES. / THE PARKER PEN CO. LTD. / LONDON, ENGLAND.’ The pen measures 1350 mm closed and opened 145 mm with the cap posted. The pen has been cleaned and polished. The final flushes were done with distilled water. A clean example with some signs of previous use. The photographs in the listing are of the pen on offer.
