Description: This plate was most likely purchased in China by a family member on a trip to that country. It was made by Imperial Jingdezhen Porcelain in 1985 and shows Hsueh Pao-Chai, a heroine of "A Dream of Red Mansions," China's great romantic novel. It is 8-1/2 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition. We have several pieces of documentation for it, most of which are in Chinese (not sure which dialect), and it has its original box. One of the booklets tells the story of the novel and plate in 3 languages, one of which is English. Makes a great addition to the collection of anyone into Chinese culture. From a smoke-free home. Plate stand is not included. I apologize if any of the writing is shown upside down. Nobody here reads Chinese. BA SKU LM440
