Description: This is a rare and comical-looking antique advertising promo postcard promoting Pan Dandy Bread. This postcard has been postmarked with what looks to be a 1914 date and has a handwritten message on the back. The postcard features a happy "Little Jack Horner" smiling and rubbing his full tummy. The caption reads, "Always Ask For Genuine Pan Dandy Bread - Crisp-Dainty-Delicious - 'Gee But It's Dandy Bread.'" There is a rhyme at the top and bottom of the postcard that reads, "Little Jack Horner sat in a corner eating with all his might. His sister Jane said, if that's Pan-Dandy bread, I wish that you'd give me a bite. Trot-trot to the grocer morning noon and night, if you always get Pan-Dandy, you'll always be allright." This cheerful postcard has vibrant colors of red, navy blue and white. It is in good condition with wear around the edges and slight age discoloration. On the back, one corner has a crease in it and another corner has discoloration. But otherwise, in good shape for being over 100 years old. Please see pictures as part of the description. This was part of my grandmother's postcard collection (which I inherited) and has been stored in smoke-free homes. This is a great find for any postcard or advertising enthusiast!
