Description: A beautiful hand carved scene of the last supper using mother-of- pearl shells. These carvings were first seen in the USA at the 1853 New York World's Fair. The first ones were made by brothers Giries & Ibrahim Mansur. After this they were made by Palestines and sold to Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Measures 6" across & 5.5" tall and has a stand on the back to hold it up for display. It's in great vintage condition with just one small chip on the top edge right above the star.
