Description: Antique Victorian-era sterling silver and glass box, probably purchased on the Grand Tour, made in London, stamped with London Assay Mark with the mark of the maker, date 1876, sold at Boudet, 143-144 Palais Royal, Paris, France. Monogram could read FAP? Silver marks: RN FD (Maker), unclear mark, Lion, A (date stamp) and leopard. It measures 3 1/4" l x 2 1/2" w x 1 1/2" h. Could be a cigarette box or a boudoir box for a lady's dresser. Lovely etched design on the bottom. Condition is great, with silver needing polishing and two very small dents at the top left corner of the lid. See photos in close up and ask questions prior to purchase.
