Description: This hand carved piece depicts the infamous Pakal's Tomb one of the most important structures of the Mayan World. This was discovered in 1952 by Albert Ruiz Lhullier inside of a temple in Palenque in Chiapas. This was carved by one of the best Artisan's in Chichen Itza. The artist is a descendant of the Mayan civilization. His first language is Yucatec Maya (heard in Mel Gibson's movie). He has been an artist in Chichen Itza since he was a kid. This piece is filled with detail and color, yet it is semi daunting as well. This piece depicts all the details of Pakal's Tomb, which displays important symbols of the ancient Mayans.
