Description: Pair of Reiger’s Perfume Department Store Display Advertising, circa 1900-10’s A Pair of Rieger’s Perfume Department Store Display Advertising Signs on cardboard, circa late 1900’s thru 1910’s. ‘Countess Spencer’ Perfume (1908) and ‘Mariposa Lily’ Perfume (1915) were fragrances by Paul Rieger & Co. of San Francisco. The Vanity Department Advertisement Signs came out of the William Hengerer Department Store in Buffalo, NY. Both measure 10-1/2” by 6-3/4”.The Original String Hangers are intact. White Ribbon Bows were added 20+ years ago, as I had them hanging in my shop above my antique perfume bottles and toiletries. One of the hanger holes for the string had torn through, so I added the tape on the back to hold string in place. Original sign colors have minimal fading with slight corner wear on both signs. The ‘Countess Spencer’ has an Olive Grove color background, and the ‘Mariposa Lily’ has a Burgundy Maroon background. Overall Condition of the 2 pieces, commensurate with their age of 110+ years, is between G+ and VG. Being offered here at a reasonable “Buy It Now” price….. or simply ‘Make An Offer’!
