Description: Pair of ornate antique French triple candle gilded bronze sconces by Leon Pinet. The Leon Pinet Co. of Paris, France, started in the music industry in the 1840s, specializing in expert brass production of piano and harmonium parts. Each sconce is marked L. Pinet and numbered deposé No. 46 on the back side. They were made in France between the 1920s and 30s.Made of heavy, gold gilded bronze, both sconces have three arms each, with each arm holding a single candle. The sconces are individually mounted on an ornately carved shield-shaped back plate and are adorned with beautiful Art Deco bow and flower garland motifs. This pair must be seen in person to truly appreciate their stunning beauty! Both sconces are in very good condition with slight signs of aging and use. The candle cups all have candle wax residue that could be removed if desired. The pieces each measure approximately 10"W x 9.5"H x 7" deep and hold three taper candles each.
