Description: For offer, a pair of mid 19th century, hand painted Staffordshire flatback large figurines. Dating to circa 1850, and designed to to stand on a fireplace mantel. These are usually known as 'pastoral' figures, due to the female carrying a wheatsheaf. Both show signs of minor restoration, the glaze is age crazed as to be expected, with signs of age and usage and some chips as shown in the above photographs.
