Description: Pair of Sevres 'Chateau des Tuileries' Bowls and SaucersLouis Philippe 1844 A pair of small bowls and plates, possibly coffee bowls, by Sevres. They are beautifully hand painted on a blue celeste ground with gilt ivy vine borders. There are delicate floral panels on the outside of the bowls and the inside and there is a gilt monogram 'LP' for Louis Philippe between a pair of cherubs. Each piece is fully marked with the blue Sevres stamp and the red Chateau des Tuileries stamp and they are also marked 'S40'. Each piece is in excellent condition. There are no major damages, only one very small scuff on the bottom underneath foot of one saucer (see photo). The colours and gilding are bright and vibrant with some slight fading and rubbing but nothing untoward.
