Description: Today we are pleased to offer for sale a beautiful pair of antique French Palais Royal scent bottles! This lovely set dates from the mid 19th century. The pair is very finely crafted and detailed. The bottles features a fabulous and unusual Chinoiserie-inspired design featuring white Opaline glass square bodies with pagoda-like tops, with matching beveled square daubers. The glass is housed in intricate gilt bronze ormolu swirled and leafed base with cage insert featuring delicate and whimsical little bells dangling from curls in each corner. The daubers features a leafed ormolu design with delicate top knob. The bottles are very precious and so pretty and will make a great addition to any collection! The bottles present well and are in good antique condition, with minor wear and patina commensurate with age and use. The ormolu has some wear, tarnish/patina/darkening and a few minor distortions; the top trim of one bottle is loose and differs from the other bottle. The glass bodies have minor wear, light scratching/scuffing, one bottle has a small manufacturing flaw/chip to one corner (the frame covers it up), daubers have very tiny flakes. Sold in as-found condition. Please review all photos. Dimensions/ea: 4-3/4" in height, 2-3/8" square bases
