Description: The Junkers JU 87 Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug or "Dive Bomber") is a German dive bomber and ground attack aircraft. It had its first flight on 17 September 1935. It first arrived for a combat role in 1937 with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939. The Stuka also served the Axis during World War Two from 1939 to 1945. This aircraft was part of Sturkampfgeschwader 77 (StG 77) Squadron Dive Bomber Wing during World War Two. The squadron was claimed to have inflicted more damage to enemy ground forces that any other wing. StG 77 was founded in May of 1939, and was active until October of 1943.
