Description: OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER PINGirl Scouts Official Pin, 2001 This is the original design of this pin from 1987 but with the lettering, which was added in 2001. This is awarded at the Council level after being nominated by the local area. It measures approximately 7/8 inch in diameter. It is said to be enamel over metal so should be quite sturdy. From the front, and to my eye, it appears to be UNUSED. Because you cannot buy this pin (it must be awarded,) this would be an excellent replacement for a lost pin.
