Assembled using the mortise and tenon joinery which we believe makes the furniture stronger and more durable. Built of solid pine it will last many summers on your patio, deck or porch. The solid pine slanted slats for the seat and back allow for easy moisture runoff. The chair comes in 4 parts ( sides, back and seat base) for easy assembly and ships via UPS directly from the amish woodworking shop to your home. We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW Montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on the logs, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin.
