King, With 16 Tipped-In Color Plates Printed by Morrison & Gibb, Ltd., Edinburgh 162 Pages, Measures Approx. 10 1/8" x 7 3/4" It is my understanding that the American edition has red cloth covers and the British edition has blue. The book offered here is in dark green cloth with gilt gold decorations, and has "Brentano's...New York" across the very bottom front cover and at the bottom of the spine, which differs from the normal red-covered Brentano's / American edition. The exterior covers show some light wear, and there is a small split at the top of the spine on the verso. The gilt decorations are mostly intact, showing minor wear. There is a bit of spotty light foxing / toning scattered throughout the text. There are small edge tears (less than a cm) along the upper-left of illustrations 8, 9 & 13.
