Description: Orvis Recon Fly Fishing Rod 7wt 4piece Older version of the Recon that is in good shape. There is some cosmetic wear. The tip and mid-tip section show the most wear. This was a boat rod and sat in rod holders for most the day. There is a small scratch on the reel seat. I bought this rod new, to chase smallmouth, before Orvis started putting serial numbers on handles. A fantastic rod for streamers and big hoppers - this rod can handle big flies in big wind whether it be for saltwater or freshwater fish. It’s a great nymphing rod. The action on this rod makes it an all around great rod for multiple species. Moderately fast with the power to help drive the hook into the fish.
