Description: >Offered here for your consideration is an old & original 1922 "Favorites Of The Screen" monthly calendar set with original envelope, featuring silent movie actresses from one hundred years ago!! Please see all twelve photos, as they are an important part of my description. Found at a local estate, each of these rare century-old calendar cards measures approximately 10" x 5 3/8", all constructed of thicker and textured cardboard stock. The color-tinted photographs of silent movie actresses measure approximately 4 3/4" x 3 1/2 and is affixed to the calendar along the top edge of each photo; this allows you to peel the photo back from the photo's bottom edge and reveals the identifying "Favorites Of The Screen" theme (just like the envelope states), followed by a serial number SM 12261, 12262, 12263, etc. >Note: the set appears to be missing the month of December. Directly underneath the bottom edge of the photo in embossed (raised) letters, it identifies the calendar's maker: Thomas D. Murphy Co. This wonderful and stylish vintage calendar also features advertising along the lower portion, for the "B.B. Buell & Co. Kitchens" (for Hotels, Ships, Institutions, Camps) in Seattle, Washington. <>The silent film actresses pictured include: Ethel Clayton, Edith Johnson, Muriel Ostriche, Bessie Love, Corinne Griffith, Madge Kennedy, Peggy Hyland, May Allison, Priscilla Dean, Carmel Myers and Eileen Sedgwick. My first photo shows all of the calendar cards, plus the original envelope they were found in; my other eleven photos pictures each of the actress calendar cards. <>Condition: the calendar cards are in simply Stellar Shape overall, exhibiting a minimum of age/handling faults....nice!!! The envelope is a bit tattered. Since the cards themselves are so clean and problem-free, I'm betting they resided inside the envelope for the better part of 100 years!
