Description: Amazing artwork for this rare WWI poster by Edwin Howland Blashfield. He is best known for painting the murals on the dome of the Library of Congress Main Reading Room in Washington, DC. Featuring Columbia joining troops in battle with an American bald eagle. Measures- 38.5x52” Condition- fair. Backed on older linen, poster has flaking in some areas, mostly around the edges and some in the middle. Can all be addressed by an archivist. Still an incredibly rare and amazing piece of artwork.
