Description: Original Finnish Prewar lineman long knife. These are longer versions of the standard wartime lineman knife. There is still debate among collectors of their origins, but they are believed to be the first version of the lineman knife and the pattern was later modified to be shorter. The knife is in overall average condition. The blade has some burrs and the wooden handles have some usage wear. The sheath is in good condition. The leather is supple and the belt loop is intact. There is a manufacturer stamp FISKARS and Finnish Army stamp SUOMEN ARMEIJA on the blade. There is also a SUOMEN ARMEIJA stamp on the sheath. This is a very rare Finnish army knife to find nowadays. The last photo has the standard shorter lineman knife and sheath for size comparison. It is not included in the sale. Sold as is. See my other listings too. I sell WW2 related items.
