Description: Rare, original WW2 German Illustrated Newspaper. Das Illustrierte Blatt. A selection of articles / pics include: Italians in battle with the British in North Africa, life in the German countryside, French government etc... Front Cover - Children being evacuated Frankfurt Illustrated Newspaper. 1940 Nr.46Normally around 18-20 pages. per newspaper.I have searched for these before to add to my collection and they rarely come up for sales and when they do, they are normally the later 1950's copies. They are in good condition for their age. I bought these from a militaria dealer in Germany many years ago. I read these when I was studying German language and they are really interesting. The sense of optimism in 1940/41 is clear and the German people believe that things are going to work out well for them. They also contain lots of cartoon jokes and some interesting (of their time) advertisements. This original WW2 German illustrated newspaper, known as Das Illustrierte Blatt, provides a unique glimpse into the propaganda and daily life of Nazi Germany during World War II. With vivid illustrations and articles, this newspaper is a valuable collector's item for history enthusiasts and militaria collectors alike. Containing news and stories from the front lines and the home front, this newspaper gives insight into the mindset and messaging of the Nazi regime during the war. Printed in Germany and featuring German-made illustrations, this is an authentic piece of history that captures a pivotal moment in global conflict.
