Description: Original WW2 British Army Officers MkIII Compass 1939 Genuine period compass as carried by British officers in the field during the Second World War. The compass is a MkIII prismatic compass and features a prism sight, mother of pearl dial, rotating bezel and bezel lock. The compass is in good original condition with the hinged lid and sight fully operational and all glass components are undamaged. The compass turns; however, the dial is hard ot see fue to the liquid being cloudy. It still makes a great display piece. The bottom is manufacture stamped T.G.Co Ltd London, serial number No B5446, British government issue broad arrow, dated 1939 and model MkIII.
