K. Neumann in Prague. It disbanded in 1924.The core of the group consisted of members such as Josef Capek, Vlastislav Hofman, Rudolf Kremlicka, Otakar Marvanek, Vaclav Spala and Jan Zrzavy from the circle of artists around the magazine Cerven. The individuals of the group were of European humanist orientation, so they subscribed to modern art, which after the war gravitated towards naive primitivism - the desire for a happy life, love for things and work. The idea was to continue the process started by the pre-war avant-garde. The creation of the group was characterized by an ambiguous program, moving between fading cubism - Josef Capek and Vaclav Spala. And neoclassicism (between modernism and historicism) - Jan Zrzavy and Rudolf Kremlicka. They established contacts with the international avant-garde, especially with its German and French centers. Their Czech counterpart was the group Devetsil, led by Karl Teig. The diverse group, after five exhibitions, e.g. in the Weiner Hall, (in the period 1918–1923) disintegrated. The Stubborn group, founded in 1987, was inspired both by the name and by respect for the free expression of the Stubborn (Wiki).
