Description: A wonderful heirloom. This has been in our family for generations but must go to a new home. I just plugged it in, tubes lit, and I tuned to a neat clear station. A wonderful piece. You can see from the back it is listed as MM #40420 and "Model 46-420-125. I think it is about 1940 vintage. Everything is original (so you might want to address the 83 year old electric cord. In fact, I would suggest changing the cord before plugging in as at the cord is very friable. I've taped some areas of it to decrease problems with it.) I think the cabinet is Bakelite. Wonderful piece. I'll pack it the best I know how--don't know how well such tubes travel. Guaranteed works great before shipment--shipping can jar tubes loose, etc. so check such when it arrives. I will ship it in a cushioned box that is inside another box.
