Description: This work on paper was completed by a female commercial artist, Catherine Figart, during her time at Vogue Magazine in New York City at some point between 1950 and 1958, acquired from a dealer who acquired them from her estate around 2012 when she passed away. All of the works are on paper and are from a time of post-War optimism and prosperity. Many of these were used in Vogue Magazine and most are in excellent condition. These are perfect for framing or for costume design research. Work from this time period in this condition are rare to market. These have been in archival acid free storage for the better part of 40 years. This work depicts women in elaborate Victorian-era costumes with hats and parasols. Overall dimensions are 12" x 18". I will be slowly adding these listings in the coming weeks (there are over a hundred.) If you would like to purchase multiple, I can combine into a single shipment and refund all unused shipping. Unless otherwise noted or requested, ship sealed in plastic and rolled in a tube. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
