Description: This Belgian poster from c1930 was created to advertise dye for lace curtains commissioned by the brand Alsa. The Belgian brand claimed that their dye would not fade after washing the curtains or from direct exposure to sunlight. In the image, a woman indoors is behind a see-through lace curtain dyed in orange with Alsa dye. Lace is part of Flemish culture and heritage; it can be traced back to the 15th century. Knowing the history, it makes sense to find a poster for a product so specific, a dye only for lace curtains. The lettering in Dutch Gordijnen Verf, translates to Curtains’ Dye. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters. It measures 11.25" x 14.25" and is in excellent condition (please note that standard excellent condition allows for very minor handling wear at edges). It has been archivally mounted onto linen to preserve and protect the fragile paper of the poster. We have been collecting original, vintage posters for 30 years, and have decided to sell some of our inventory at very attractive prices. Please look through our offerings and let us know if you have any questions. We are only offering ORIGINAL VINTAGE POSTERS -- no restrikes, reprints, or reproductions. We take pride in our high number of positive feedbacks and hope that you will become another satisfied customer. ID#12452
