Description: This ultra rare - one of a kind piece of costume concepts ink & watercolor art was acquired by the actor/dancer that played the character of “The Parrot” in the Disney Animal Kingdom musical “Tarzan Rocks!”in 1999. Included is the original rehearsal cassette tape that was only provided to the performers…adding provenance. This measures 14” wide x 16 3/4” tall. With the board it’s mounted on it measures 15” tall x 20” tall. This artwork is signed by the artist. The piece shows minimal wear from age. Tarzan Rocks! was a live amusement show at Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is based on the 1999 animated film Tarzan, and utilizes the music written by Phil Collins. The show opened Friday, July 9, 1999, and featured the use of acrobatics, a live band, costume characters, and cast members on rollerskates. After nearly a seven-year run, the show closed January 21, 2006. This would be the perfect acquisition - the crown jewel - for anyone interested in musicals, Disney and/or Tarzan. This would be beautiful matted and framed.
