Wendell was, at one time, the son-in-law of Clarence Barron, having married Clarence's youngest daughter, Martha. Tragically, Martha passed away two months after giving birth to their daughter, little Martha, in 1916. There is a small tear in one seam which isn’t seen when document is flat.
